Every child deserves the opportunity for a good education. That’s why, in 2004, we established the Make A Difference Scholarship, which awards $60,000 annually to customers, their children and our coworkers’ children who are pursuing an undergraduate college or university degree. We also promote scholarship opportunities made available by the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO).

Strong, enduring, positive relationships can make all the difference for children facing adversity. It’s a natural fit that Rent-A-Center supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of America whose local affiliates impact youth across the country by matching children with positive role models who will make a lasting impact on their lives.To date, we’ve contributed more than $400,000. Rent-A-Center also supports Junior Achievement USA by participating in “JA in a Day” every year - helping inspire and prepare children to be productive citizens who will positively impact their community.

Additionally, Rent-A-Center supports the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County , a center that provides safety, healing and justice to over 3,000 abused children. Our coworkers hold annual toy drives during the holidays and help raise money to support the organization. To date, Rent-A-Center has donated more than $300,000.
